If I Ever Complain About "First World Problems" Again, Food Poisioning And Other Fun Things in Mexico, Miracles and Pray For Brady

First let me start by being grateful for having access to the internet in my home here in Mexico.

Now First World Problems, in Salt Lake there is a local radio show that talks about "First World Problems" ie, the light turned green before I could finish my text, the ice machine in my fridge door jams, the internet quit working during my flight, etc. One of my first world problem pet peeves has been people coming to repair or install a service at my home only being able to give me a four hour window ie, 8-12 or 12-4. Why can't they just schedule and let me know they will be here at 10:30? Well it only took 7 weeks, three different days of waiting for a person to install and no showing us, for us to finally get the internet here in our home.

Oh and speaking of first world problems, I promised pictures of the new house but me and Windows 10 are struggling to get along and getting pictures from my phone or I-pad to this computer seem to be beyond my comprehension level. So maybe the next blog ; )

Let's talk food poisoning, I have mentioned to several people that if you live in Mexico for 18 months and don't get food poisoning you just aren't trying hard enough. Well I finally tried hard enough and had the most incredible bout of food poisoning known to man. Rosa said she has never seen anyone vomit that much in one sitting. I strive to be the best at anything I do, however I would rather not have that distinction anymore.

Well enough grumbling, life is Amazing. The miracles we see daily in our service in the Temple are simply that Miracles. One of the most recent and closest to our heart was the miracle of our friends from Huatulco being spared when the bus they were traveling to the temple on was hit in the left front wheel by a car and the driver lost complete control of the bus. It veered across the highway and hit a guardrail at an angle that should have sent it over the rail and rolling down the hill which would have killed and/or severely injured many onboard. Instead the bus somehow slid down the rail and eventually came to a stop with only minor injuries to a few people.

Having seen the pictures of the bus and the guardrail, and hearing the accounts of many on the bus, I count this as a miracle and see the hand of the Lord in protecting our friends.

We had a chance to go to the mountains for the Memorial Day weekend and camp, in a cabin, with the Roesberry's. It was a great weekend and I managed to download a couple of pictures of Rosa and I enjoying our S'mas, like a S'more but with Marias Galletas instead of graham crackers.  The mountains here are incredible with beautiful pine and hardwood forests.

We also visited one of the black pottery artists from San Bartolo Coyotepec with our friends the Roesberry's, who are leaving us to return home, after having served in this temple for 18 months, next week. Here are a couple of pictures of that fantastic trip. The big vase on the left was hand built, no wheel or mold. The workmanship is incredible and if you get a chance to own a piece of this art you are truly blessed.

Lastly on a serious note. Please pray for Brady Holt and the entire Holt Family from Riverton Utah. Brady was involved in a serious auto accident and he and his family need the prayers and faith of all of us. Please put him on any prayer roll you have access too and any other prayer list. #BradyStrong Thank-You.

We love and miss all of you and are looking forward to seeing you in the near future.
